We will be participating as a volunteer in all Smithfield VA Event festivals. Please reach out to Hannah Arnold if you are interested in signing up. It’s a lot of fun while doing a lot of good.
Our club will receive money for each person who works. This money will be used to support our charities. Each volunteer will also receive a general admission ticket to the event.

Our very own Rotarian Tom Powell along with his wife Wendy will be our guest speakers presenting their newly established foundation Bubby’s Place to benefit foster children and foster families.
Our guest speaker this week is Marcus Robbins, retired Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) historian and a life-long NNSY worker. Marcus will present The History of Women at NNSY. This includes women's contributions during both world wars and up to present day. NNSY has a diverse workforce of women welders, shop-fitters, engineers, department heads and military leaders all working together to deliver submarines and carriers back to the fleet in defense of our country.

Susan Stubenrach from Suffolk Workforce Development will be our guest speaker.
Susan serves as the Coordinator for the Suffolk Workforce Development Center, where she leads efforts to connect job seekers, employers, educators, and community partners. With a background in public service, workforce strategy, and community engagement, Susan is passionate about helping individuals gain access to career pathways, training opportunities, and supportive services that strengthen both people and businesses in the City of Suffolk.

Brian Miller from Global Transformation Ministries will be our guest speaker.
Brian Miller is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in both the Kosovo and Saudi Arabia conflicts. He has traveled to 68 countries and has helped establish five homeless shelters for children around the world.
In 2012, Brian and his family founded Global Transformation Ministries, an organization dedicated to serving vulnerable communities. Through this work, he has helped expand educational opportunities in underserved neighborhoods of Medellín, Colombia, launched a crisis pregnancy center that has rescued hundreds of homeless girls off the streets, and created a humanitarian shelter assisting refugees and at-risk mothers.
Brian has also partnered with the Rotary Club of Pennsylvania to conduct several medical brigades, helping provide vital healthcare services to underserved communities. He deeply enjoys seeing people receive medical care and the dignity that comes with it.
In addition, Brian has planted two local churches designed to help people know and grow in their faith.
He holds a Master’s degree in Missiology and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership.
Brian is happily married, considers his wife of 23 years to be his greatest passion, and together they live in Medellín, Colombia with their three beautiful children.

A Rotary classification talk is a brief presentation where new members share information about their professions, family, hobbies, travel. It is a chance for members to introduce themselves and find common interests with others.

Our Annual Christmas Party and LIVE Auction
Each December, members of the North Suffolk Rotary Club and spouses gather for a festive time of cheer and charity. Our annual auction by our own famous auctioneer raises money in a fun way by offering custom, handmade and unique items offered by our club members and surrounding members.
Tickets are $60/each. Cash bar will be available.
All proceeds from our Christmas Auction went directly to the local charities that we support.
