What to expect when you join

  1. As a club member, you should expect to receive the club’s quarterly billing notices during the first week of the months of March, June, September and December. If you have not received your billing notice by mid-month, please let your treasurer know. Upon receipt, it is expected that your full payment will be remitted within twenty (20) days.

  2. Dues billing notices are used to bill members for items in addition to dues such as costs for tickets to events and myriad other things that may arise during the year.

  3. Payments may be made by check (electronic and the paper-type until their use is discontinued!) or credit card via the Square. Using the Square is a payment convenience which carries a cost. Using the Square for auction item purchases at the time of purchase is helpful to the purchaser and to the club. And, for that reason, the cost of the convenience will be borne by the club. However, for dues billing remittances, because the club’s operating budget, TRF contributions and event ticket sales all depend on full payment, a convenience charge equivalent to the Square fee will be added to your remittance should you choose to use that method of payment. Currently, the charge is 3.6% of the payment amount, e.g., a payment of $100.00 will incur a fee of $3.60 which will be added to the payment.

  4. It is highly recommended that you make your payments electronically. Using your bank account, you would need to establish the club as a “vendor” which will enable you to easily create and direct your bank to mail a bank prepared draft/check on the date of your choosing. If you would like to pursue this method and do not know how to proceed, your club treasurer will be pleased to assist.

  5. All official club positions are uncompensated. Therefore, it is expected that members will do their part in keeping the efficiency and effectiveness of the work club officers perform for the club at the highest level. In the case of the treasurer, doing your part means remitting your payments to the club in a timely fashion. Also, any changes in your contact information should be made known to the club secretary and treasurer as soon as possible. That means changes to your home address, your email address and/or tele/cell/mobile phone number(s).
